A MESSAGE FROM OUR ADMINISTRATION

Hillcrest High School

"Creating Learning for Life"

Stephen M. Duch,  Principal

Tarek Ali, A.P. Physical Education, A.P. Technology, & Athletic Director
TAli@schools.nyc.gov

Welcome to the Hillcrest Department of Physical Education, Health, and Athletics.
Our physical education program is designed to provide a variety of physical activities that meet the students’ interest to help them be motivated and sustain maximum participation.
Not only is it a marvelous thing to have such a strong program, but students are also required by New York State’s High School diploma requirements to pass 7 terms of physical education and health to obtain a diploma.
Our athletic program consists of 22 teams for boys and girls.  The goal of the program is to provide the students with the opportunity to acquire the competitive edge while learning the social skills to be a team player and the discipline of playing by and following rules. These are the necessary skills that anyone must have to succeed in life in any future endeavor.

The goal of technology is to empower students by providing them with the tools and skills necessary to do research (and support learning).
Students will be provided with the opportunity to use technology to:

·
          conduct research via the Internet
·
learn how to use basic tool software
·          create content-based multimedia projects
·          showcase their work
·          participate in technology based programs
Technology provides the tools necessary to build a society.
