Mission Statement

 The Future Academy at Hillcrest High School is truly one of the most exciting programs in the New York City school system.  The Future Academy is open to 9^th graders zoned to Hillcrest High School.  With a top notch staff committed to student excellence, this academy serves as a wonderful home for our students.  Staff members are available to students for their various and different academic needs.  Students will receive individual attention and will be challenged to reach their maximum potential.  It will provide a smaller nurturing and rigorous learning community.  The goal is for the teachers to make connections with students to motivate and inspire them.  The academy will also provide an intensive academic opportunity for inter-disciplinary learning.    At the end of the 9^th grade all Future Academy students will compete for placement in one of our eight highly regarded educational institutes at Hillcrest High School.
